ABOUT CECILY

An avid explorer of movement, Cecily spent her early years training at Southeastern School of Ballet, with summers at Ellison Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, Oklahoma City Ballet, Masterclasses in Prague, and St Louis Dance Theatre. She is also an alum of the National Security Language Initiative for Youth, and attended their summer program at Moscow State Academy of Choreography on full scholarship. During her time in Atlanta, Cecily has performed and choreographed for Dance Canvas, The Georgia Ballet, The Aurora Theatre, Atlanta Dance Collective’s FEMMEfest, Fly On A Wall’s “Excuse The Art”, as well as Oregon Fringe Fest and Columbia Repertory Dance Company. Additionally, Cecily was the featured dancer and choreographer in a music video for singer/songwriter Nathan Colberg’s, “The Giver.” Cecily is currently a soloist with Gwinnett Ballet Theatre, and some of her favorite roles include The Firebird (Firebird), Dewdrop Fairy (The Nutcracker), Bride of Dracula (Dracula), and Helena (A Midsummer Night's Dream). She has created several works for both the professional company and youth company. Cecily is excited to be joining Jewel Ballerina as a Flowerina!
